About Riley
Riley Jurecek made the University of Texas Orange Squad, the Longhorns’ coed cheerleading team, as a freshman in 2023–24. She returned as a second-year member in 2024–25 and was named among the veterans on the 2025–26 squad after spring tryouts, giving her three seasons in the Texas Spirit program. Coed cheer is built on partner stunts, where timing, trust and precision between teammates decide whether a routine works, and a place on the squad has to be earned again each spring.
She grew up in Pflugerville, just north of Austin, and came to Texas from Hendrickson High School. At UT she majors in Communication and Leadership, a field centered on how people share information and how groups and organizations are led. That focus sits naturally beside three years of team performance, where every routine depends on clear signals, shared counts and teammates who arrive prepared. Her path has stayed close to home: from Pflugerville to the Forty Acres to a project role in Austin.
In 2026 she joined Feniex Industries, the Austin manufacturer of emergency-vehicle lighting and sirens, as a Project Manager Intern. The role draws on what cheer and her studies have trained: keeping engineering, production and sales on the same page, writing updates that people can act on, and holding a schedule together when many hands touch one project. Learning a routine to a fixed date and performing it in front of a crowd is practice for exactly that kind of work.
